On June 28, after several months of commitment, adaptation, open-mindedness and hard work, TOMRA Canada learned that it had been awarded the Concilivi Seal. We're proud to be one of the local organizations adopting practices that promote a better family-work balance.
For years, TOMRA Canada has been evolving its corporate culture by deploying measures to facilitate family-work balance for its employees. TOMRA values the opinions and needs of its employees, which is why we surveyed them.

Why does TOMRA promote family-work-life balance?
At TOMRA, we're passionate people who come together every day with the common goal of being happy at work and at home. We realize that a person's well-being influences every sphere of their life, including the way they behave and get involved at work.
So, to ensure long-term happiness at TOMRA, we make sure to put in place measures, tools and practices for reconciling family, work and personal life to give rise to maximum well-being for each and every one of us, in a balanced and common interest.
Examples of family-work balance measures offered by TOMRA Canada :
Here are some of our measures:
- Flexible working hours and hybrid teleworking,
- Additional leave for birth or adoption,
- Personal days/illnesses by seniority per year,
- Personal and health spending account with annual allowance,
- Generous vacation program from 3 months seniority,
- Telemedicine and employee assistance program offered at employer expense,
- Right to disconnect.
Data that speaks for itself
Nearly two out of three respondents (62%) would be willing to change jobs to benefit from better family-work balance conditions. (source: Statistics (concilivi.com))
A statistic that speaks for itself. In a context of labor shortages and increasingly tough competition for talent, it's important for us to help reduce the stress associated with family-work balance.
Over 76% of working people with family responsibilities say that an employer with a recognition for family-work balance would encourage them to apply for a job. (Source : Sceau de reconnaissance conciliation famille-travail | Concilivi )
And you, what do you offer your employees as a conciliatory measure?
