Accounting & administration technician
Under the general supervision of the Controller, the Accounting & Administration Technician is responsible for coordinating administrative activities related to the entire accounting cycle, particularly accounts payable such as supplier management, month-end accounting entries, and basic accounting operations.
Telework offered 3 days per week / Located in Baie-d’Urfé / 37.5 hours per week / Salary between $21.32 and $27.34, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Provide support to production, service and sales departments, including accounts receivable collection;
- Verify and invoice service supplies and work orders;
- Participate in accounts payable processing, entering invoices into the accounting system, and communicating with suppliers.
- Produce expense accounts for management personnel and validate them with various government institutions (e.g. CNESST attestation, Revenu Québec, etc.);
- Carry out month-end entries (accruals, amortization, exchange rates, etc.);
- Prepare the inventory report and reconciliations;
- Reconcile intercompany balances and create expense accounts (Concur).
Requirements
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in accounting, bureaucratics or equivalent;
- At least 2 years' relevant experience;
- Basic knowledge of accounting;
- Proficiency in MS Office, including intermediate level in Excel;
- Experience with computerized accounting software;
- Functional English (written and spoken), for the purpose of communicating with internal and external clients;
- Have great attention to detail, organizational skills, and a focus on service quality;
- Team spirit, versatility, and flexibility in responsibilities.
