Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Supervisor organizes, controls and evaluates the various manufacturing and quality assurance processes. The supervisor manages the assembly and packaging of technological solutions and recovery equipment. He/she participates in establishing and updating the required quality standards. He/she analyzes work methods and industrial processes, and identifies and implements opportunities for improving efficiency.

Monday to Friday / Located in Baie-d'Urfé / 40 hours per week / Starting at $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and plans manufacturing and equipment reconditioning activities to meet quality standards and deadlines; 

  • Improve the efficiency of industrial processes and work methods by ensuring that your team has all the resources it needs to carry out their tasks;

  • Participates in the identification, analysis and communication of risks to employees, including training on procedures;

  • Ensures implementation and compliance with health and safety instructions and procedures;

  • Supports the management and improvement of work ergonomics and ensures efficient and accurate inventory consumption;

  • Participates in the recruitment of team members and ensures the induction and integration of new employees;

  • Proficient in ERP system and continuous improvement software. Supports and trains his team in their use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in production management, industrial engineering or a relevant field;

  • 5 years' experience in a management position in a manufacturing or production environment and assembly line instrumentation;
  • Master continuous improvement or process reengineering;
  • Bilingual English/French (to communicate with unilingual employees);
  • Knowledge of MS Office, ERP and CAD an asset;
  • Knowledge or training in electrical engineering an asset;
  • Be action-oriented, organized, analytical and a team leader.
