Technical Product Specialist
Reporting to the Technical and Projects Manager, the Technology Specialist acts as a resource person for the technical knowledge and operation of TOMRA product portfolio equipment in our Canadian markets.
Monday to Friday / Located in Baie-d'Urfé with hybrid telecommuting / 37.5 hours per week / $65,000 to $70,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Ensure the optimization of the organization's systems and processes by proposing recommendations;
- Take an active part in solving technical problems and setting up and programming components on equipment;
- Analyze system performance in terms of components and make the necessary adjustments;
- Coach service teams on standards and procedures for operations, calibration and maintenance;
- Understand customer needs and work with them to ensure continuous product improvement;
- Take charge of team and organizational learning activities related to technology;
- Take charge of production and training documentation;
- Any other related tasks.
Requirements
- College diploma (DEC) in electrical engineering, automation & control;
- Over 5 years' experience in an automated process support role;
- Good practical knowledge of computers and networking;
- Knowledge of Schneider and Allen Bradley PLCs (an asset);
- Strong analytical skills, orientation towards continuous improvement and implementation of procedures;
- Automated process support: 5 years (Desirable)
