Instructional design & training specialist
Reporting to the Health, Safety & Training Partner, the Instructional Design & Training Specialist analyzes needs, designs and develops engaging and distinctive learning activities, creating digital media (videos, quizzes, scenarios) to acquire targeted skills and knowledge. He/she designs and structures interactive training courses, develops teaching materials and ensures their dissemination. Working with experts and multi-disciplinary teams, he/she uses multimedia tools, guarantees quality and innovates to offer effective and adapted learning solutions.
Monday to Friday / Hybrid / Located in Baie-d'Urfé / 37.5 hours per week / Starting at $65,000.00 per year
Responsibilities
- Design digital and hybrid training activities to enable our customer's operators and technicians to master the safe and effective use of equipment and maintain it to established standards;
- Analyze customer training needs and available content;
- Define learning objectives, structure content and design assessments;
- Produce teaching materials adapted to learner needs and customer context;
- Create engaging learning experiences by integrating best pedagogical and cognitive practices;
- Make effective use of technological tools for design, distribution and collaboration;
- Prepare, organize and run training activities for customers;
- Collaborate and participate in the ideation process with customers and colleagues, while respecting project guidelines and the chosen approach;
- Actively participate in customer meetings and maintain a collaborative, service-oriented approach;
Requirements
- University degree in adult education, education, instructional design or related field;
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in technopedagogical design, e-learning or digital content;
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and a strong command of training-related technologies;
- Excellent writing, didactic and pedagogical skills, with the ability to design clear, engaging content;
- Experience in managing training projects, from design to implementation, and advanced mastery of the Microsoft 365 suite;
- Certification in instructional design (e.g. ACCP, CTDP) and industrial experience (an asset);
- Strong interpersonal skills: collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, adaptability, autonomy and organizational skills in a dynamic environment;
- Excellent command of spoken and written French, and very good knowledge of English for the production of bilingual training courses.
