Procurement Specialist
Under the supervision of the Planning & Supply Chain Manager, you will ensure the efficient and sustainable acquisition of raw materials, technological components, equipment and services essential to the manufacture and maintenance of our technologies. You will contribute to environmental compliance, material traceability, cost optimization and product quality, while collaborating on the development and implementation of purchasing and supplier management strategies.
Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday / Located in Baie-d'Urfé / 37.5 hours per week / Salary based on experience
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the development of procurement strategy for TOMRA Canada;
- Select suppliers, analyze supplier performance and suggest improvements;
- Negotiate contracts and purchasing conditions to obtain the best possible terms;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers;
- Plan and manage supply requirements based on production forecasts;
- Manage inventory and optimize stock levels to avoid shortages and overstocking;
- Collaborate with production, logistics and service teams to ensure a smooth supply chain;
- Monitor market trends and identify potential new suppliers.
Requirements
- University degree in business administration, operations management, logistics or equivalent certification in a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a purchasing and inventory control manager in a manufacturing company;
- Computer skills, including Excel and inventory management software (MRP/ERP);
- Bilingualism required (fr/ang) to interact with international suppliers;
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills;
- Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines and solve complex problems;
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
