Automated systems integration engineer
Study, design and develop automated recovery equipment for our TOMRA Technologie division. Mainly perform tasks related to the evaluation, design, testing and launch of new recovery systems, as well as support improvement projects, while providing technical support to the service team.
Monday to Friday / Located in Baie-d'Urfé / Starting at $90,000.00 per year
Responsibilities
- Research project feasibility, design, operation and performance;
- Develop technological automation solutions for TOMRA products;
- Plan and direct projects and prepare materials, cost and time estimates, reports and design specifications;
- Integrate and/or modify electronic components within the company's products;
- Ensure continuous improvement of manufactured technologies and the installation process;
- Ensure system performance and draft technical documentation;
- All other related tasks and projects.
Requirements
- University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or electromechanical systems;
- Minimum 10 years' experience in the field;
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
- Technical and practical knowledge of automated industrial system design and its mechanical, electronic and automation components;
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) on Autodesk Inventor software or equivalent;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
- Good knowledge of English (spoken and written);
- Autonomous, organized, able to handle pressure well and diagnose problems;
- Possibility of traveling in Canada and the U.S. 2-3 times a year, one week per trip;
