Field Electromechanic (Weekends) (Trois-Rivières, Mauricie)
Reporting to the Customer Experience Supervisor, the Field Electromechanic is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and installing Tomra automated recycling systems at customer sites. They work on automated equipment to ensure its proper operation, reliability, and performance, while providing courteous, efficient, and professional customer service.
Friday through Sunday, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. / Trois-Rivières, Mauricie, and Shawinigan / 36 hours paid as 40 hours / Starting at $27/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Tomra automated systems, including diagnosing electronic, electrical, or mechanical failures, programming and modifying systems, and carrying out installations and special projects as needed;
- Work on automated recovery systems according to the provided schedule, perform troubleshooting, implement appropriate solutions, and ensure the performance, reliability, and proper operation of equipment at customer sites;
- Perform roadside assistance using the service truck, manage your time effectively, follow all steps of a service call, be available as needed (weekends, on-call shifts), and promote related products;
- Provide courteous, professional customer service that reflects the company’s image; follow up on requests; provide training to users; maintain a neat appearance and a positive image (uniform, clean truck);
- Complete service reports and manage inventory, maintain truck parts, plan for required materials, use the provided tools and equipment properly, and comply with all health and safety procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Hold a vocational degree in electromechanics, industrial mechanics, or a related field;
- Have solid practical knowledge of mechanics, electronics, electrical systems, and PLC programming (a plus);
- Demonstrate functional English (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with customers;
- Be comfortable using a computerized service call management system;
- Demonstrate independence, responsibility, and flexibility;
- Be able to provide high-quality customer service while working efficiently and professionally.
