Electromechanical Technician

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, the Facilities Electromechanic installs and commissions TOMRA automated recycling systems at customer sites. Through professionalism and a commitment to quality and attention to detail, he or she ensures customer satisfaction.

Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, 4 shifts of 10 hours each / Travel throughout Quebec and Canada may be required / 40 hours per week / Starting pay of $27/hour

Responsibilities

  • Install our machines throughout Quebec in collaboration with the designated team, adhering to plans, schedules, and applicable quality, health, and safety standards;
  • Configure, test, adjust, and reset the programs of automated recovery systems to ensure their proper operation and optimal performance;
  • Analyze, diagnose, and determine the cause of various electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems, and then implement the appropriate corrective measures efficiently and safely;
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, explain the work performed as needed, and represent the company positively at job sites.

Requirements

  • DEP in electromechanics or industrial mechanics;
  • Possess strong technical and practical knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and electricity;
  • Demonstrate practical English skills for communicating with North American clients (a plus);
  • Be comfortable working with a computerized health and safety (OHS) improvement and inspection management system;
  • Demonstrate availability, reliability, good teamwork, and efficiency on the job;
  • Be available to work on weekends, as needed;
  • Be able to travel throughout Quebec;
  • Be willing to travel occasionally within the United States.
