Industrial draughtsman
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Industrial Draftsman is responsible for obtaining from the sales team all the information required to produce layout drawings of equipment to be manufactured for our customers. The incumbent is responsible for producing drawings of mechanical parts and systems.
Monday to Friday / Located in Baie-d'Urfé with hybrid telecommuting / 37.5 hours per week / $55,000 to $70,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Draw up layout plans for equipment to be manufactured for our customers;
- Produce drawings of mechanical parts and systems;
- Ensure that drawings comply with industry specifications and standards;
- Provide technical support to project & installation team members;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of manufactured technologies and the installation process;
- All other related tasks & projects.
Requirements
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or College Diploma (DEC) in industrial drafting/design or mechanical engineering;
- Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position;
- Understand mechanical and pneumatic manufacturing of automated industrial systems and its components;
- Ability to record and interpret measurements and tolerances;
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) on Autodesk Inventor software or equivalent;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
- Knowledge of Autocad an asset;
- Functional English (spoken and written).
