Human Resources Consultant

We are looking for a human resources consultant for a 16-month temporary assignment.This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and actively contribute to a variety of human resources projects.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Consultant plays a key role in supporting managers and employees. He or she contributes to all HR activities, ranging from providing advice and operational support to participating in various strategic projects related to talent development, the employee experience, and the continuous improvement of HR practices.

Flexible schedule and 3 days of remote work per week / Located in Baie-d’Urfé / 37.5 hours per week / Annual salary between $75,000 and $80,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advisory partner to managers by assisting them with their day-to-day HR challenges and supporting operational teams;
  • Serve asthe point of contact for employees regarding HR issues, internal policies, and day-to-day labor relations
  • Monitor cases related to sick leave and contribute to employee health, wellness, and engagement initiatives;
  • Participate in various HR projects related, in particular, to the employee experience, change management, and the continuous improvement of practices and processes; 
  • Support recruitment efforts for certain positions, as needed; 
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at strengthening the employer brand and attracting talent; 
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date HR records while providing high-quality service focused on collaboration, support, and results.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of experience in a generalist human resources role;
  • Ability to operate in an operational environment while serving as a credible advisory partner to managers;  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach; 
  • Interest in HR project management and the continuous improvement of practices;
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Experience with a human resources information system (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS); 
  • Functional English (written and spoken) is required to provide support to employees across Canada;
  • CHRO/CRIA Certification: An Asset.
