Technical Project Manager
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the execution of assigned projects within TOMRA Canada. This role includes overseeing documentation, identifying and escalating risks, and leading multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered within requirements, processes and schedules. The Project Manager actively contributes to the growth and operational excellence of TOMRA Collection in his/her area of responsibility.
Monday to Friday / Located in Baie-d'Urfé / 37.5 hours per week / Starting at $70,000.00 per year
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute and deliver assigned projects in accordance with TOMRA Collection expectations and the TOMRA project model;
- Monitor and control projects (budget, deadlines, quality) to ensure their success;
- Analyze key indicators (quality, costs, lead times) and propose corrective or improvement actions;
- Provide performance feedback to project team members as part of the end-of-project evaluation process;
- Oversee documentation and compliance with internal processes and standards;
- Collaborate with R&D, production and marketing teams to ensure product consistency and performance;
- Lead and mobilize multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency;
- Monitor, measure and report on project effectiveness and progress;
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, sharing clear reports and progress updates.
Requirements
- University degree or Master's in project management, administration or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management, ideally in a manufacturing, product or technology environment;
- Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and best practices;
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and deliver projects on time and to established quality standards;
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira or similar platforms;
- Leadership experience (minimum 1 year) including coordination, mobilization and support of multidisciplinary teams;
- Strong focus on collective performance, collaboration and continuous improvement;
- Ability to define a vision, set clear objectives and achieve concrete results;
- Outgoing, caring, rigorous and customer service-oriented.
