Mechanical assembler

Reporting to the production supervisor, the mechanical assembler assembles parts and subassemblies used in beverage container sorting and collection systems.

Monday through Friday, day shift / Located in Baie-d’Urfé / 40 hours per week / Salary between$21.00 and $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand plans and follow established procedures;
  • Collect and assemble sub-assemblies according to specifications;
  • Check assembly quality according to defined standards;
  • Dismantle and ship equipment;
  • All other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing workshop or manufacturing environment;
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (preferred);
  • Strong technical and practical knowledge of mechanics;
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints;
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and cutting (a plus).
