Data Analyst
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Improvements, the Data Analyst is responsible for transforming data from our internal systems and ERP into clear information that supports decision-making. He/she develops dashboards and analyses to track the operational performance and efficiency of our equipment in the field. The role involves working closely with different teams to understand business needs and provide relevant analyses. The analyst also prepares and presents key analyses to the technical and management teams to inform decision-making. This position contributes directly to improving the visibility, performance, and optimization of operations.
Monday to Friday / Hybrid / Located in Baie-d'Urfé / 37.5 hours per week / Salary between $60,000 and $81,414 per yeardepending on experience
Responsibilities
- Extract, transform, structure, and prepare data from our internal systems and connected devices to ensure it can be used for analysis;
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports for various internal teams;
- Develop analytical methods to measure the impact of field trials, technical changes, or equipment adjustments in order to evaluate their actual performance;
- Interpret complex data sets and formulate clear, understandable, and directly actionable conclusions and recommendations for technical and management teams;
- Work closely with internal teams to define analytical needs, priority indicators, and performance objectives;
- Ensure the quality, consistency, reliability, and traceability of data used in analyses and monitoring tools;
- Participate in the continuous improvement of processes related to data collection, processing, automation, and documentation;
- Actively contribute to establishing a culture focused on data, continuous learning, transparency, and collaboration.
Requirements
- University degree in data analysis, information technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, modeling, and use of BI tools, ideally in a manufacturing environment;
- Excellent command of data analysis, visualization, and processing tools, including strong SQL skills;
- Experience with ERP systems and IoT or telemetry data (significant assets);
- Strong understanding of business processes and excellent problem-solving skills;
- Ability to clearly communicate analysis results to diverse teams (technical and non-technical);
- Proven ability to work with large volumes of data from internal systems;
- Demonstrate curiosity, independence, and a strong desire for continuous improvement;
- Proficiency in French and intermediate English (to collaborate effectively with international teams).
